This only applies to Herds on the relevant service.

Default values for Cows Sold etc can be entered under Herd Details. These will be used if no actual figures are given. Amend by going into Herd Details and going through the wizard to the default values screen.

Heifer value

Enter a notional value per head for heifers you have reared on the farm, or value of heifer if purchased, if different to the default value.

Purchased cows

Enter total cost of cows purchased in the month, if different to the default value.

Cows sold / died

Total income received in the month from cows sold, if different to the default value.

Calves retained

Calves kept to be reared (includes calves reared for beef).

Value of calves retained

Enter a notional value per head, if different to the default value.

Calves sold

Dairy calves sold direct from the dairy herd ie. young calves sold that are not being retained for rearing as replacements or beef. This does not include calves that have died. These are picked up from number of calvings in the year to calculate calf survival rate.

Value of calves sold

Enter the total income received in the month from the sale of calves, if different to the default value.
