Milk Sales

Estimated figures

These figures can then be amended next time you log on. If your milk buyer operates a Help Desk they may be able to provide the required information.

Milk Sales

Number of litres sold off the farm in the month (include retail & direct sales if applicable). Please enter whole litres with no decimal places.

Milk Retained

Milk that could have been sold but was retained on farm for calf or house use. This milk is included in the herd milk yield and its value is included in the milk income.

Unsaleable Milk

Milk that is unsaleable (e.g. antibiotic milk) and was tipped away or fed to calves. This milk is included in the herd milk yield but its value is not included in the milk income.

Milk Urea

This should be on your milk cheque either as % or mg/litre. Please enter as mg/litre. If it is in the format 0.030% this should be entered as 300mg/l.

Milk Quality

Enter the average monthly Butterfat, Protein %, bacterial count and cell count as recorded by your Milk Buyer. If you have not yet received the results of all tests, estimate a figure and tick the estimated box.

Milk Buyer

Select milk buyer. If your milk buyer is not included in the list, select Other Dairy.

Amount Paid to Bank

Enter the amount paid into bank - after all adjustments. This will calculate to ppl once it is saved.

Capital Payment

If your milk statement includes a capital payment, enter the total amount for the month. This payment will be included in your Milk Income on the report as it is a capital not a trading expense.

Net Milk price

If you complete the form prior to receiving your milk cheque, enter your best estimate of milk price for this month's milk. You can amend this figure when you receive your milk statement.

Additional Milk Bonus

This shows addtional milk bonuses received on a ppl basis. If you receive a one-off bonus payment, go to Data Entry / Milk Bonus where you can spread a payment over several months, as applicable.
