Please list all purchased feeds fed in the month. These should include home grown concentrates such as cereals, purchased forage whether standing or ensiled, minerals, supplements & dry cow feed.

CON - Concentrates e.g. Dairy Cake and Dry cow Rolls

STR - Straights e.g. Sugar Beet Pulp (Dried) / Soya / Rape Seed Meal

BUL - Bulk Feeds e.g. Brewers Grains / Citrus Pulp (Wet Pressed)

LQF - Liquid Feeds e.g. Molasses

SUP - Supplements e.g. Minerals & Vitamins / Yeasts

Then select the feed name.

Feed code Number

Feed code number will automatically appear when the feed code letter and the feed description are selected. This is used to identify the feed used, enabling us to use the correct nutritional value for Milk from Forage calculations. If your feed is not on the list, please use a feed with a similar nutritional analysis and change the feed name. If you are unsure as to which code to use, please give us a call on 01458 851555.

Feed quantity

Enter fresh weight tonnes of each purchased feed used in the month. This must include any feed fed to dry cows (but not other stock or youngstock). Any Caustic or Crimped feeds will be adjusted to a concentrate equivalent on the reports.

Feed price per tonne

If the feed is home grown, a realistic market value should be used plus a processing charge, if applicable (e.g. caustic treated home grown wheat or rolled barley).
